Tanker Services for Every Property Type

Every property has different tanks and different waste. Find the one that matches yours and see what our tanker service does for it.

What We Remove and Where It Goes

Our vacuum tanker uses a high-powered pump to draw liquid waste out of tanks and chambers. Here is what we remove and where it goes.

Sewage and septic sludge

Our most common job. We pump out septic tanks, cesspits and on-site water treatment systems, then carry the waste away for licensed disposal.

Oil, fuel and contaminated water

Interceptors and oil separators trap hydrocarbons that only a licensed carrier can move. We vacuum the contents and transport them for compliant disposal.

Grease and fat waste

Grease traps in commercial kitchens overflow if they are not emptied on time. We clean the trap and take the grease away in the tanker.

Flood water and emergency overflows

When a septic tank overflows or a pump station fails, we prioritise the call-out and attend the same day where we can, to pump out and remove the waste.

Licensed transport and disposal

Every load leaves site in a drainage tanker bound for a licensed treatment facility. We hold a national waste collection permit and document the waste we remove.

Every Drainage Service Under One Roof

Tanker work and every other drainage service we run across three counties.

Top service by Alec and the lads. Drains were blocked, they showed up quickly, left the place tidy after, and very reasonably priced.

We had an extremely positive experience with Davis Drain Services. Within minutes of calling them out of hours, they arrived to our house to clear a blocked septic tank. It was pumped out promptly before returning the following morning to rectify the issue. At all times they made us feel at ease and explained everything to us clearly. While on site they also provided helpful advice on how to rectify heating issues we were having. We would have no hesitation recommending them for both drainage and plumbing works. Thanks to Alec and team.

Just had Alec out to look at an issue with my boiler. We were without heat and he arrived so quickly after being contacted. He was able to pinpoint the issue straight away and had it fixed in minutes. I also asked advice on an issue with my drains that I have been encountering for a few years and he was able to give me advice on how fix it. Thank you Alec, I am very grateful for all you help.

How Much Do Tanker Services Cost?

Septic tank emptying usually costs between €250 and €400 per pump-out. Interceptor cleaning, pump station work and emergency call-outs are quoted per job, because tank size, access and waste type all change the price.

Get a Price for Your Job

Tell us the tank type, where the property is, and whether it is a one-off or a regular schedule. We come back with a price.

Tank type and size

A 2,000-litre domestic septic tank is a quick job. A 10,000-litre commercial interceptor takes longer and costs more.

Access for the tanker

The tanker has to reach the tank. Tight lanes, locked gates and long runs from the road add time on site.

Waste type

Sewage, oil, grease and contaminated water each have their own disposal route and cost, set by where the waste is allowed to go.

One-off or scheduled

A regular maintenance schedule works out cheaper per visit than calling us out one job at a time.

Emergency vs planned

An overflow that needs a same-day call-out costs more than a visit booked in advance.

Tanker Services Questions Answered

The things homeowners and businesses ask before booking a tanker.

How often should a septic tank be emptied?

Most domestic septic tanks need emptying every one to two years, depending on tank size and how many people use it. Left longer, sludge builds up and overflows into the percolation area, which leads to failure and costly repairs. See our septic tank emptying page for detail.

An oil interceptor is a chamber in the drainage of petrol stations, car washes, workshops and yards that traps oil and fuel before they reach the public sewer. If it is not emptied, it overflows and causes pollution you are liable for. See our interceptor cleaning page for detail.

Septic tank emptying usually costs between €250 and €400 per pump-out. Interceptor cleaning, pump station work and emergency call-outs are quoted per job, because they vary by tank size, waste type and access. We confirm the price before the tanker is sent.

A planned sewage tanker call-out for a domestic septic tank is usually €250 to €400 in the Dublin, Meath and Louth area. Emergency call-outs for overflows cost more, because of the same-day response. We confirm the price before dispatching the tanker.

Yes. Davis Drain Services holds a national waste collection permit issued by the National Waste Collection Permit Office. Every load is transported to a licensed treatment facility and we provide waste transfer documentation for the job.

Yes. If your septic tank has overflowed or a pump station has failed, we prioritise the call-out and attend the same day where we can. The emergency line is answered around the clock, and we assess the cause so it does not happen again.

A septic tank collects and partially treats sewage on site and needs emptying every one to two years. A pump station uses pumps to lift waste water from a low point up to the main drainage, and needs scheduled cleaning to clear sludge from the wet well. Both need a tanker, for different reasons.

Our tanker service covers Dublin, Meath and Louth, including all of north County Dublin. We are based in Skerries, so north Dublin, Drogheda, Dundalk, Navan and the surrounding rural areas are core coverage. If your town is not listed, ring and ask.
